In a recent interview with the U.K. radio station Capital FM, Ariana Grande confirmed that she would be “so down” to join Taylor Swift’s famed squad, saying in part,

“All those girls are really nice. I would just be so down.”

Taylor’s squad, which appears to be growing each day, currently includes some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including models Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevigne, Martha Hunt, and Lily Aldridge, singers Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, and Lorde, and actresses Serayah, Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, and Jaime King. Ed Sheeran, Taylor’s closest male friend, is also a member.

Ever since appearing on the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, where Ariana performed a medley of her songs “Love Me Harder,” “Bang Bang,” “Break Free” and “Problem” and Taylor performed “Blank Space” and “Style,” the two ladies seem to have formed a close friendship.

It was after the show aired that Taylor posted a picture of herself hugging Ariana, captioning it, “Oh my God she couldn’t be cuter.” Ariana then replied to the picture, linked on Twitter, with a series of purple heart emojis.

Their friendship was highlighted once again after Taylor praised Ariana for a Tweet.

“I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY/POSSESSION,” Ariana tweeted in part. Taylor then replied, saying “I’m so proud of you, always. But especially today.”

Since then, their friendship has seemed to flourish, as Ariana was spotted arriving and later leaving Taylor’s New York City apartment back in 2015 and the two shared a hug at the 2016 Grammys.
