Is this the worlds biggest jackfruit?

What could be the world’s heaviest jackfruit, weighing as much as a teenager, has been discovered in Bangladesh.

Tipping the scales at 114lb, the giant prickly fruit far outweighs the current Guinness World Records holder.

That specimen, grown on a farm in Mahisbathan, Bogra, came in at 94lb.

The new world record contender was reportedly bought for the equivalent of about £6 at a market in a suburb of Kolkata.

Three men can be seen struggling to keep the giant fruit aloft, its long stem almost as thick as a person’s arm.

Weighing as much as an average 13-year-old boy, if made into a curry, the fruit could supply enough of its pungent, meat-like flesh to feed as many as 180 people.
