Fortunately, the other cyclist, a 72-year-old man, survived this appalling incident. In further investigations, homicide detectives received critical information regarding Jzamir Keys, 16, identified as the passenger in the crash that claimed Probst’s life. It was revealed that Keys had been involved in a fight on September 14, with video evidence matching the description.

This collision was a grim culmination of an alleged crime spree involving a series of car thefts and hit-and-runs.

The video showcased the teens apparently striking another car during their reckless activities. The stolen vehicle used in the fatal attack on Probst was discovered abandoned near Craig Road and Jones Boulevard, mere minutes from the crash site.

After their apprehension, Ayala and Keys were taken into custody and officially booked into the Clark County Detention Center on September 21, 2023. During their court appearance, Ayala displayed a complete lack of remorse, strongly suggesting an alarming absence of shame for his actions.
