Little Mix Six Year Anniversary: Favourite Memories From Fans

April 2024 · 4 minute read

Since auditioning on ‘The X Factor’ as four solo artists back in 2011, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards have gone on to become one of the world’s biggest and most successful girl bands. Having racked up over four platinum certified albums and eleven certified singles within the UK and achieving worldwide success, it could be said that Little Mix’s success continues to build.

However, any artist’s success largely depends on the support they receive from their fans. Little Mix’s fans – better known as Mixers – are no different. The legion of Mixers have supported the girls through everything – the release of new singles and albums, a BRIT Award win and celebrating Number 1 singles and albums together, along with much more.

To coincide with Little Mix’s six year anniversary, here at CelebMix, we spoke to some dedicated Mixers to find out their favourite Little Mix memory from over the years.

In July 2015, my friend won tickets to see Little Mix at the Dutch fan event. I cried happy tears when I heard it. The day itself went really quick. I met new people who were really lovely. Then the time came to meet Little Mix. There was little time to meet the girls. I hugged Leigh-Anne and Jade and they asked me how I was. Leigh-Anne thanked me for coming. We took the picture and then it was time to go. Even though it was very short, I loved being able to meet them!

I can’t believe Little Mix have been around for six years! It’s been about five years that I have these amazing girls in my life. I can always count on them to make me smile. My favourite moment over the last six years? There is one that will forever give me chills and make me feel incredibly proud.

That has to be on the 22 February 2017, when they finally won their very first BRIT Award! When they announced Little Mix, I just started crying, and they were so happy themselves. To this day, I still cry and get chills each time I watch the video. Their friendship is so strong and I will never stop loving and supporting these four amazing girls!

My favourite Little Mix memory has to be the 2017 Brit Awards because they achieved something they had always dreamed of. I was so happy for them, I couldn’t believe it. It reminded me of when they won ‘The X Factor’ back in 2011.

It was hard choosing one because everything they do makes me happy. They are literally the best role models I could ask for!

My favourite memory of Little Mix is when they won a BRIT Award in February 2017! It was a dream come true for them and it was so amazing to witness. It made me so proud of them and shows that hard work really does pay off!

My favourite memory of the band is when Little Mix won their first BRIT. I still remember how much I cried when in 2016, they didn’t win. It completely broke me because they really wanted to win it so their reactions when they finally won it in 2017 were everything. Their happiness is my happiness and seeing how they achieved one of their biggest goals as artists will always be one of my favourite memories.

My favourite memory of Little Mix is when I went to the DNA Tour and we waited outside for the girls and they waved to me and also when I’ve met the girls (finally) and my notices and when they won ‘The X Factor.’

I have so many favourite moments of Little Mix but I think my most favourite is when they won a BRIT Award!

As Mixers we were all like ‘I’m 100% sure that Little Mix will win the Best British Group but I’m not sure about the Best British Single category!’ The funny thing was that they didn’t win the Best Group (though they deserved to win) but the Best British Single category.

The girls were feeling down because of losing the Best Group category, and so were the Mixers! But when we heard that they had won the Best British Single category, all the sadness flew away in a second and the sadness left and was replaced by pride. I’m so happy to be able to see their happiness when they won their first BRIT Award.

And about the performance.

THAT WAS FREAKING AMAZING.

Once a Mixer, forever a Mixer!
