Arsenal fans would have been delighted with their late winner against Brentford, and Ian Wright may have topped the celebrations.

Kai Havertz's header in the 89th minute sent the Gunners to the top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester City.

Arsenal's win was their ninth in the league this season as they eye yet another title challenge amid last season's shortcomings.

As with any late winning goal, fans in the away end at Brentford were sent into wild celebrations as Havertz proved to be their hero.

Wright was also not shy to express his delight at the header as he was filmed celebrating by his Match of the Day colleague Gary Lineker.

"We're winning the f****** league, yes Kai!' he shouted before going up to the TV and pretending to hug the players.

He also kissed all of them on the screen and ran back to his seat full of laughter after what could prove to be a huge goal for Arsenal.

Fans on social media loved the legend's reaction, with one taking to X to say: "This is why I love this guy my footballing hero. Never change."

"We love him the way he is. Ian Wright is the paragon of a passionate Arsenal fan," added a second.

A third said: "Passion and character. Love it Wrighty."

Arsenal thought they had taken the lead just before half-time but Leandro Trossard's goal was ruled out for offside from the Belgian.

Brentford had chances of their own to score, with Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale looking shaky in between the sticks.

It looked as though the hosts would be able to hold on and seal a huge point against the title challengers.

However, Havertz scored his second Arsenal goal in 20 appearances to hand the north London side all three points.
